I mentioned yesterday that I’ve been in less-than-optimal condition lately, what with the toe and my back being sore. Well, I solved the problem of how to bring wood into the house for the woodstove yesterday. Here’s how I did it. There seems to be a law of nature that if a woman asks a man to carry something for her, especially with the implication that he is bigger and stronger and would be rescuing her from a bad situation, that man will almost always comply. Our friend Steve was here working on the chicken coop, and generously carried in enough wood for at least a day or two. This morning the outside temp is 29 degrees and the inside temp is 52, and I didn’t even hesitate to light a fire. Hey, we use whatever resources we have available to us, right? Thanks, Steve!
